研究方向:

1. 政治文化与文化理论 (Cultural Theory);

2. 公众舆论与政治行为 (包括中美两国);

3. 叙事式风险沟通 (Narrative Risk Communication; 风险类别主要包括环境风险和公共健康风险);

本人目前的研究项目主要关注:(1)文化理论在亚洲国家的修订与应用;(2)美国政治精英和公众的文化战争与政治文化(包括政治价值观)分歧;(3)基于虚拟情景锚定法 (Anchoring vignettes) 的中美政治信任比较研究;(4)中美公众在公共健康和环境风险中的风险感知和防护行为的比较研究。

本人关注的研究方法包括问卷调查法(特别是固定样本调查)、实验法和内容分析法。以上涉及的中美比较研究的合作学者主要来自北伊利诺伊大学、美国决策研究所 (Decision Research) 以及俄克拉何马大学 (University of Oklahoma) 风险与危机管理中心等。
